Our team was chosen to participate in the International Competition of snow sculptures at the end of January in the city of Kiruna in Swedish Lapland. Paola Arminio and Gianmario Bonfadini will represent Italy in the main attraction at the local snowfestival, one of the most important in Europe.
The meeting between the teams will take place on January 21 at the railway station in Stockholm.
The 15 hours trip to Kiruna will give the participants the chance to know each other.
The competition will take place from 8 in the morning on Wednesday 24 January to 11 on Saturday the 27.
The event will also be an intense programme of events related to the dissemination of Sami culture and will include the visit to the famous hotel made of ice, built every year during the long winter months a few kilometres from Kiruna where the warmest place is the refrigerator.
